Anger, sadness, disappointment, guilt and shame are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. With therapy, we are able to help you recover motivation, gain perspective, and the joy that you once had in your life. From ages 6-18 work with minors is approached in a developmentally appropriate setting and with parental collaboration. Engagement is primarily through play with theoretically designed treatment plans to address a range of issues to include but not limited to anxiety, depression, family adjustments (ex. divorce, death, moving, etc), self harm, ADHD, behavioral challenges, attachment disorders, stress management, problems with school and/or peers, developmental issues and other illnesses within the area of mental health.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR is effective in treating all ages and a variety of issues to include grief, PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression and addictions.
